Reliance Animal Hospital Veterinary Services: Diagnostic and therapeutic services: Our veterinary hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete veterinary health care needs. Surgical Services: Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures Anesthesia: We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide that extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures. Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations. Preventive Health Care Programs:
Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. Individualized Flea Control Programs: We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet. Dentistry: Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions and oral surgery. Dietary Counseling: We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance. Behavioral Counseling: We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression. Boarding: We provide pet boarding as a service to our clients. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. Pets may be dropped off and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday. Bathing: Routine and therapeutic bathing services are available. While no one likes to talk about financial aspects of pet ownership we believe you should know the cost of the quality services your pet will receive. We realize that many pet owners have financial limitations. In these circumstances, providing superior care means that we also have to provide that care in the most efficient manner possible. Good communication with the pet owner and a careful assessment of symptoms helps us avoid unnecessary testing. In addition, the benefits of some costly medical procedures (such as cancer chemotherapy) are sometimes marginal. Pet owners are carefully counseled regarding the costs and benefits of anticipated procedures. This allows us to give pets the greatest benefits possible within the guidelines established by their owners. To that end we try to provide cost estimates for procedures, laboratory workups, etc. whenever possible. We do this not because we feel pet care should be based on finances, but we do understand economic realities. You, the pet owner, must decide what you will allow us to do for your pet. Please bear in mind that price estimates are just that -- estimates. We will contact you if we feel additional procedures or testing is necessary and obtain permission, where possible. There are situations where this is not possible and we will do what is best for your pet.
